A large recreational sports industry has blossomed around Airsoft guns. These guns primarily fire plastic pellets with a circumference of six to eight millimeters. Pellets discharge at a rate of ninety to six hundred feet per second. The guns themselves can have all the characteristics of a toy gun up to being indistinguishable from the real thing. Prices have a similar range. For as little as ten dollars and going up to as much as a few thousand dollars you can partake in this growing hobby. Guns can be used for recreational shooting, target practice, competitions, and even military and police training. Airsoft guns use a variety of ways to propel the pellets.
